The atelier

A bench, a loupe,
and no second copy.

Every commission begins with a stone we have held in our own hands and ends with a setting cut, forged and polished for that stone alone. Nothing is cast twice. Nothing is outsourced past our door.

01

Stones sourced in person

We buy at origin and at the Antwerp bench — never from an unnamed parcel.

02

Forged, not cast

Raised by hand from recycled stock. Denser metal, crisper edges, and a piece that will still hold its stone in eighty years.

03

Finished under the loupe

Nine polishing and setting stages, each inspected at 10× before the next begins.

Céleste Rivière

Eleven months. A 6.20ct pear that took four trips to Antwerp to find, and a platinum rivière graduated stone by stone so the line reads as a single falling arc. Commissioned once. It will not be made again.

How to read a diamond certificate

The four Cs are the part everyone knows and the least useful half of the page. Here is what we actually look at.

They asked what my mother did with her hands before they asked my budget.
